The Australian actress is gearin’ up to drop her new project, a remake of Wuthering Heights with fellow Aussie Jacob Elordi. Saltburn’s director Emerald Fennell called it “aggressively provocative,” and it’s been tagged as “abrasive,” so this joint’s set to stir up some serious buzz.
Such a beautiful woman. I'm still not convinced by her casting, especially since Alison Oliver is more book-appropriate and Fennell knows she would absolutely excel in the role. But I'm sure Robbie, a great actress, will prove me wrong.
If the leaked reactions are to be believed, Fennell has made a radical departure from previous period drama adaptations of the novel, which is fine. I'd be more sceptical after the very good but undeniably overrated "Promising Young Woman", but Fennell has earned my trust after the superb "Saltburn."
