Heidi Reichinnek, born on April 19, 1988, in Merseburg, East Germany, is a German politician affiliated with The Left (Die Linke) party. She became interested in politics as a teenager, opposing the Hartz IV reforms and supporting women’s equality and social welfare. In 2015, she joined The Left and was elected to the Osnabrück city council in 2016. By 2019, she became the state chairwoman of The Left in Lower Saxony. In the 2021 federal election, she secured a seat in the Bundestag via the state list. In February 2024, Reichinnek was elected co-leader of The Left in the Bundestag alongside Sören Pellmann. She has actively utilized social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram to engage with younger audiences, contributing to a significant increase in party membership and support.
