Meet Rachel Zegler (born May 3, 2001), a New Jersey musical theatre actress handpicked by Steven Spielberg to play Maria in his West Side Story remake. She took on Snow White in the 2025 live-action remake and starred in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

She rocked the role of Maria before in a regional West Side Story at Bergen Performing Arts Center. She’s also been in big stage roles like Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Cosette in Les Misérables, and Mimi Marquez in Rent.

She’s got an older sister, Jacqueline, aka Jay. She was datin’ Josh Andrés Rivera for a bit, and in 2025, she was seen hangin’ with her Evita co-star Nathan Louis Fernand. Ansel Elgort plays opposite her as Tony Wyzek in the West Side Story remake.

Meet Désirée Nosbusch, aka Désirée Becker, born January 14, 1965, in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg, with a Luxembourgish pops and Italian mom. She hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in 1984 in Luxembourg and ran a kids’ version of Ruck Zuck called Kinder Ruck Zuck. Oh, and she sings too – dropped a duet with Falco in 1984 called “Kann es Liebe sein?”.
