Josh Whedon did that. Batfleck was one of the most physically imposing Batmen ever. He was the strongest bloke to play Batman to date and is more akin to the modern versions of Batman. I liked how he and Keaton both killed blokes as the original Batman supposedly did too.
In my opinion both he and Snyder got screwed over.
Fortunately for Batfleck though, now he's getting screwed in the fun way by Ana de Armas.
