Meet Bahar Kızıl (born October 5, 1988), a German-Turkish singer-songwriter who’s part of the pop group Monrose, snaggin’ the win on the fifth season of Germany’s Popstars.
Hailing from Freiburg, Baden-Württemberg, she comes from a Turkish family outta Bayburt – her name, Bahar, means “spring” in Turkish. She started dancin’ ballet at 12 and was singin’ in four different bands around her town before the Popstars audition.
