Gülben Ergen, born Aug 25, 1972 in Kadıköy, Istanbul, is a Turkish singer and actress, also known as Gülben Ergen Çelik. She’s famed for her role as Melek in Dadı (Turkey’s The Nanny) and was crowned Miss Cinema 1987.
As a singer, she’s a powerhouse in Arabesque-pop, dropping eight hit albums with chart-topping tracks like “Kim Ne Derse Desin,” “Kanıma Dokunuyor,” and “Sürpriz.” Nicknamed the “Queen of Arabesque-pop,” she’s a Turkish music icon.
Married to Mustafa Erdoğan, founder of Fire of Anatolia, on Sep 5, 2004, she’s mom to Atlas (born 2007) and twins Ares and Güney (2009).
