Meet Johanna Wokalek (born Mar 3, 1975), a German stage and film actress. A student of Klaus Maria Brandauer, she earned major praise and several newcomer awards for her role in the play Rose Bernd. She’s best known for her standout performances in Hierankl, Barfuss, and The Baader Meinhof Complex. In 2008, she won a Bambi Award for playing Gudrun Ensslin of the Red Army Faction, and in 2009 she took on the lead role in Pope Joan.
