At a job fair, she caught a gig as a Playboy Bunny and ended up workin’ at the Playboy Club in Chicago. Soon after, she leveled up to Playmate status.

Karen was one of Hugh Hefner’s big-time Playmate-lovers, basically runnin’ things as the “first lady” of the Chicago Playboy Mansion. This was while Hef was also deep in a relationship with Barbi Benton, who was chillin’ at the Playboy Mansion West in LA. By 1976, Hef’s double-dippin’ got exposed, and both relationships crashed. In ‘98, Larry Flynt stirred the pot, droppin’ explicit pics of Christy and Hefner gettin’ it on in the August issue of Hustler.
