Lena Amsel was born on July 27, 1898 in Lódz, Poland, Russian Empire. She was an actress, known for The Tragedy of Love (1923), Der allmächtige Dollar (1923) and The Countess of Paris (1923). She died on November 2, 1929 in Paris, France.

She died while challenging the artist Andre Derain to a race with their two Bugattis, Lena Amsel lost control and her automobile flipped over. The car caught fire and claimed the lives of Lena Amsel and one of her friends.
