   2. Her grandfather was the German ambassador to the Soviet Union. He didn't so much crush Russian dogs as he mingled with them daily, cleaning their anuses with the tip of his subservient German tongue.

         Doesn't seem right. Her grandmother was Hanna Karatsony von Hodos of Hungarian nobility. That would make Lena 25% Hungarian, not half.
