Marta Katarzyna Wiktoria Wiśniewska, known as Mandaryna, was born March 12, 1978, in Łódź, Poland. She’s a Polish singer, dancer, and actress who first got noticed as a dancer for the pop group Ich Troje and as the partner of its leader, Michał Wiśniewski. She kicked off her singing career in 2004 with a cover of Whitesnake’s “Here I Go Again,” which blew up in Poland.

Her debut album, Mandaryna.com (2004), and follow-up, Mandarynkowy sen (2005), both did solid numbers. Things got wild in 2005 when her Sopot Festival performance stirred up drama over her vocal skills, but her song “Ev’ry Night” still became a huge hit, arguably her biggest banger yet. Most of her music, including that track, was crafted by her go-to producers Harald Reitinger and Uli Fischer, who’ve shaped about 90% of her career.
