    A dime since "Ghost World."

    "The Prestige," a masterpiece, didn't really need an actress of her calibre to play the role she did. It's like Rooney Mara in "Nightmare Alley." Both played roles that required a merely competent actress, not a great one.

    "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" is a lot of fun. No director has ever been as overtly aware of how beautiful Scarlett is as Woody Allen. Even in that silly, largely forgettable film Scarlett did with Hugh Jackman, Allen made sure that she looked absolutely breathtaking.
